Over $250,000 awarded for county projects

The Greene County Community Foundation (GCCF) awarded grants to 24 projects throughout the county on Sunday evening.
During the 21st annual event, a total of $256,229 was given to help local organizations purchase needed supplies, complete necessary projects or finish building upgrades that may not have been possible without the grants.
“Our goal as a group is definitely to get money out into the community, into organizations that give better opportunities for quality of life, improvement and economic growth for our entire county,” said GCCF President Patty Fisher.
Over the last 21 years, GCCF has awarded $2,943,989 in grants, both from their endowment fund and from Grow Greene County (GGC).
