There’s a Growing Demand for Housing in Greene County

September 3, 2024

There’s a growing demand for housing in Greene County as manufacturing companies in the area expand. With an optimal location on Highway 30 and Highway 4, Greene County is the ideal choice for developers looking for easy-to-sell housing. Additional area draws include the recently built $35 million dollar high school and Career Academy and multiple recent investments in the renovation of Jefferson’s downtown square.

Hard to Beat Incentives for Housing Developers

Greene County offers hard to beat incentives for housing developers looking for available land in Western Iowa. The county currently has 11.7 acres that can be divided as needed for housing development sites. The price on this land is negotiable depending on the number of units planned. Other incentives include a 10 year complete tax rebate for rental units and three years for single family units.

More information on Greene County housing development sites and other available land in Western Iowa can be found here.
