Western Iowa is attracting families and retirees due to the region’s affordability and safety. According to a study by Seniorly.com, Iowa is the most affordable state to retire in 2024. Families are attracted to the robust school systems and safe neighborhoods. Retirees and families both enjoy the excellent recreational options and supportive community.   

A Surge in New Residents Creates a Need for More Housing 

Housing development opportunities in Western Iowa result from new residents moving to the area. Some families migrate here for career growth, while others come for affordability, but all Western Iowa residents enjoy a higher quality of life. With safe communities, excellent schools, abundant recreational opportunities and easy access to urban amenities, developers can expect a continued need for more housing and a quick turnaround on sales.
