Assessment team tackles how to enhance the downtown experience

One theme of the downtown assessment team’s presentation focused on enhancing downtown activities, events and experiences.
An assessment of Carroll’s downtown from the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s Downtown Resource Center culminated in a public presentation sharing their findings last Thursday.
Special projects manager with the assessment team, Jeff Geerts, said many downtowns in the state and across the country are typically about 1000 feet in length.
“Because that’s the point of time where it doesn’t feel like you’re actually going on a walk. It feels very manageable,” Geerts said.
