The Chevron Renewable Energy Group biodiesel plant in Ralston played host to several Congressional and Administrative staff members on August 16, where they learned about the biodiesel production process. The Iowa Renewable Fuels Association brought their “Iowa Biofuels: Science and Sustainability Tour” to the Ralston biorefinery as part of their annual bus excursion exploring Iowa’s biofuels industry.
“We are always grateful to have legislative representatives from Washington, D.C. visit our facilities to learn more about how we produce lower carbon transportation fuels,” said Kevin Lucke, President of Chevron Renewable Energy Group. “Our Ralston facility is where our business began 25 years ago, so it’s a wonderful facility to tell the story of where we began, and where we are today.”
