Region XII Cares Act Funding Has Been Used For Business Start-Ups And Expansion. Some Funds Still Available
March 19, 2021
Last July, Region XII Council of Governments announced they had received just over $2 million from the CARES Act Recovery Assistance program for COVID-19-impacted businesses. There was $1.84 million made available in Revolving Loan Funds (RLF) for eligible businesses in a six-county region that includes Carroll, Audubon, Crawford, Greene Guthrie and Sac Counties. To date, Region XII reports the money has supported four new start-ups and six expansions. There is approximately a half million still available from that program in addition to others from other Region XII sources that have slightly different requirements and terms. Those businesses interested in learning more are encouraged to read the CARES Act fact sheet, a link to which is included below, and contact Region XII through the methods outlined here as well.
