Western Iowa’s business climate has never been more favorable. In 2005, the state’s economy grew 5.5%, the fastest growth of any Midwestern state. Companies operating in Iowa benefit from a business-friendly state government, technology transfer from world-renowned research universities, a skilled and productive labor pool and a centralized geographical location. Within the state, the Western Iowa worker is particularly noted for his or her unsurpassed productivity. When you take all of Western Iowa’s business factors into consideration, it’s easy to see why its economic forecast is so bright.
